Seems to be a bit redundant I know, but so many people asked me why I opted to have my wedding, with private beach house rentals in the Caribbean, I thought I would give my top 5 reasons for doing it!

A wedding on the beach, with the sun shining above you - could you get more romance? Cuts down on unnecessary guests, only the special people are there and they get a holiday out of it! Description of the day

When looking to have your wedding in the Caribbean you have to be price conscious. If you have your wedding at a resort in Aruba you can expect to spend some serious dollars, but there are so many lesser known areas in the Caribbean that can offer you an amazing experience. We opted for the north coast of Honduras on the recommendation of my brother who has been going there for a few years and is now looking for a second home in the area.

The north coast has not received as much attention as the Bay Islands, but still has the unspoiled beaches and vibrant local culture that have made the Bay Islands popular. We finally settled on a small resort with private beach house rentals, partially because of the amazing attitude of the owner and also because this meant that all the guests were not cramped together in a single hotel complex. The area has plenty of good priced hotels so this really was not a problem.

Banana Beach is pretty much in the center of Trujillo Bay which is pretty undeveloped, so from the marquee we erected on the beach we had a totally unfettered view of the coastline, which was perfect. If you can't see the romance of getting married in that setting then I guess a Caribbean beach wedding isn't for you! I loved the simplicity that a beach wedding afforded us, from the clothes to the service, to the decorations. In comparison a church wedding seemed unnecessarily complicated. My dress was simple white silk off the shoulder design and I wore tropical flowers in my hair. A top tip is to go for natural fabrics, some guests didn't and they ended up with slightly embarrassing sweat patches!

We continued the themes of simplicity and the tropics into the menu. The chef Juergen made us some amazing Caribbean fusion food, combining local ingredients like pork, coconut and conch, with French bistro and Italian touches. I cannot explain how relaxed the whole day was. Things went a little astray, like the last-minute marquee emergency, but it was like the calm of the Caribbean kept anyone (me in particular!) from freaking out. We decided to get a Garifuna band in for the evening entertainment, under advisement from Rand the owner and it was perfect. Dancers came along and got all of us up moving our hips - even my mom, which I luckily have on video!

So before you book the church, consider the Caribbean and private beach house rentals for your wedding, less stress and more happiness!

Once human life became more organized and settlements and civilizations were established, leisure and activities carried out in leisure became a more regular feature of human life. Most of the artifacts, which today give us documentary evidence of past cultures and civilizations, are products of leisure.

In modern times, especially due to industrialization, life has taken a different turn. While on the one hand life has become extremely busy, at the same time specialized areas of activity and fixed working hours offer the possibility of considerable free time. Leisure implies free or unoccupied time, when there is freedom from the demands of work or duty. The social structure has developed in such a manner that some sections of the society maintain rich lifestyles with plenty of leisure, whereas the majority of human beings are preoccupied with the battle for survival. Relaxation and leisure are words that seldom have any relevance to their life. These people live under constant stress and demands of modernity. Consequently, they are prone to physical and psychological problems. It is essential to spare some time from a mechanical routine and spend this time to rejuvenate the mind and the body.

Unfortunately the advent of television has taken a heavy toll of other hobbies and internet comes behind it. Two of the worst affected activities are reading and healthy socializing. On the one hand television has many advantages and the internet is also has more advantages, but on the other hand these are mediums which can very easily be misused by both the viewers and the net users.

The field of sports offers a wide range of activities to choose from. It has the advantage of catering to physical fitness and thus helping to develop a healthy attitude towards life. Leisure can easily be abused too. "We are all well acquainted with this sentence, "An idle mind is a devils workshop". Whiling away time in useless activities is the commonest abuse of leisure. People often hand around commercial centers, cinema halls, restaurants and bus stops. Such behavior can become almost addictive and discourages all creative potential. Idleness can force a person into bad company and even anti-social activities. It is thus essential to impart to children right from their early days the value of leisure and its meaningful use.

A balanced and sensible person will never make work alone an end per se. Relaxation of the mind and the body, awareness of ones social responsibilities, and catering to ones creative needs are traits of a healthy and complete personality. Many problems and crises associated with modern life can be successfully combated by proper utilization of ones free time. By coordinating ones talents and faculties one can break the monotony of modern life and prevent life from becoming a burden.
